Author: Peter Novak

Peter Novak*, devastated by the tragic passing of his first wife, set out upon the ultimate quest—to fully understand the nature of death. For the last 15 years, he has explored a myriad of different cultural approaches, studying psychology, comparative religion, and many varieties of modern parapsychological research. His 1997 book The Division of Consciousness is the story of that search and the unexpected conclusion it led to—that the ancient Binary Soul Doctrine seems to be rising again, like a Phoenix from its own ashes, this time within modern science. Novak’s research has been featured in a number of academic journals, popular newsstand magazines, and nationally-syndicated radio and TV shows. He has been a featured speaker at conferences of the Academy of Religion and Psychical Research, the International Association for Near-Death Studies, and the Churches Fellowship for Psychical and Spiritual Studies. Novak lives near Chicago with his daughter and second wife. His second book, Divided By the Light: Afterlife Phenomena and the Lost Secret of Death, is scheduled to be published later this year. *Bios are listed here as they last appeared in the latest publication of the Journal of Regression Therapy.
