Alfred Hoffmann*, Ed.D. graduated with a B.A. from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas. He received his M.A. in counseling psychology from Bradley University and his doctorate from the University of Illinois, majoring in the emotionally disturbed and socially maladjusted. His long career includes 22 years as a psychologist and diagnostician for the Illinois Department of Mental Health at both Peoria State Hospital and the Adler Center in Champaign. He continues to act as a psychological consultant, diagnostician, and hypnotherapist for the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation as well as maintaining a limited private practice. His hypnotherapeutic techniques and skills were developed during several Continuing Education programs for physicians and psychologists held at the University of Chicago. * Bios are listed here as they last appeared in the latest publication of the Journal of Regression Therapy.
