Therapist Survey of Client Experiences – David Graham (Is.31)

Abstract

This survey was designed to explore the effects of extra-terrestrial encounters on clients of therapists and also includes reports of encounters from the therapists themselves. To that extent it was promoted mainly amongst therapists. Both data and client comments were collected via a simple on-line survey, created using Googleforms. This were a total of forty submissions during a 12 month period that ended in December 2019.

The survey asked questions that focus on background details of the client, details of the encounter itself and any perceived outcomes from the encounter and the therapeutic process. Psychotherapeutic Services for Persons Who Claim UFO Experiences- Leo Sprinkle (Is.29)

Introduction

Psychotherapeutic services can be helpful to persons who are experiencing post traumatic stress disorder. Physiological and psychological stress reactions can occur from the effects of abandonment, abuse (corporal, emotional, and/or sexual), loss of relationship, rape, robbery, etc. If abused persons are given competent and compassionate assistance, then often they can learn to cope with their feelings of anger, anxiety, doubt, grief, guilt, pain, shame, etc.

However, in our contemporary society, those persons who describe paranormal/psychic/spiritual crises, or emotional trauma from memories of possible past lives, often are faced with scoffing or skeptical reactions—not only from their friends and relatives, but sometimes from professional persons, including psychotherapists.
