David Edwards*, Ph.D. was born and educated in Britain and studied Psychology at Oxford. Since 1971 he has been at Rhodes University in South Africa where he is currently Professor in the Psychology Department, teaching and conducting research. He has offered a graduate course in transpersonal psychology for fourteen years and incorporates a strong experiential learning component into his teaching. A clinical psychologist since 1979, he has a longstanding interest in regression and bodywork techniques, and has attended numerous workshops on primal integration, neo-Reichian therapy, and holotropic breathwork.
