Zelda G. Knight*, Ph.D., was born in Zimbabwe but has spent most of her adult life in South Africa. She has a B.A., a M.Ed., and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Rhodes University, South Africa. Since 1991, she has been a full-time lecturer at Rhodes and conducts research in addition to teaching. She offers courses and facilitates workshops in Counseling and Psychotherapy, Transpersonal Psychology, Gender Studies, and Research Methodology. She is a registered psychologist with a small consultancy in Zimbabwe, and has several publications in academic journals and books. She has presented papers at international conferences in South Africa and Europe, and participated in experiential workshops in North America, Austria, and Ireland on Shamanism, Gestalt therapy, Holotropic breathwork, and Past-Life Therapy.
