Perceived Results of Past Life Regression through Expanded Awareness Analysis

Dr Sonia Andrés Espallardo & Dr Isabel M. Martínez Higueras

Abstract— Cross-sectional descriptive study of patients/clients participating in a past life regression session through the analysis of their expanded awareness. Most of them experienced favourable changes in the variables studied related to their subjective experience during the regression, including improvement of the symptom, understanding its effect on current life, perceived subjective efficacy, changes in fear of death, and changes in current life. Bivariate analyses show that religious beliefs modulate the results of subjective experience and, although to a lesser extent, some effect is also observed among older participants. Results based on recent research are discussed. Finally, the limitations are … Read the rest

A New European Case of the Reincarnation Type – Dieter Hassler (Is.28)

by Dieter Hassler, Dipl.-Ing. TH *

When selection is restricted to solved cases not taking place in the same family, there remain only a very small number of cases of the reincarnation type (CORT) that have been reported for Europe. The case described in this paper belongs formally to this rare category and consequently deserves recording. A number of features of the case are described: a premonition experienced by the subject’s mother; three announcing dreams and their accuracy; the subject’s specific behavior, especially that relating to the opposite sex; a specific ailment affecting the subject; the subject’s special skills; and two incidents of a psychokinetic or poltergeist nature experienced by the previous personality’s mother after his death. Additionally, the Read the rest

Kiki’s Fish Story – A Past-Life Journey Recalled – Virginia Waldron (Is.22)

By Virginia Waldron

In 1999 I went to see Thelma Freedman for several sessions to help me deal with a relationship issue in my current life. I was hoping to have a better relationship with two people in my life. We explored several lifetimes that involved the three of us. One of the first ones, however, had a surprise ending which neither of us expected.

I found myself on a beach, not sandy but made of small stones and pebbles, round and smooth. I was with other women and children. Behind us was a low cliff. There was a path or trail that led up the cliff and back to our village. I was a young girl, in my early … Read the rest

The Bloxham Tapes Revisited: Why Cryptomnesia is Not The Complete Explanation – Ian Lawton (Is.22)

by Ian Lawton

Abstract

One of the most celebrated cases of supposedly verifiable, past-life recall involved the Welsh hypnotherapist Arnall Bloxham, about whose work Jeffrey Iverson produced a BBC documentary and book in the seventies. His most responsive subject was given the pseudonym Jane Evans, and three of her supposed past lives are of particular interest. The one most commonly referred to is that of Rebecca, a persecuted Jewess in twelfth-century York, but in fact it has important weaknesses that are usually overlooked. Worse, it is rarely reported that her regression to the life of a Roman woman called Livonia in third-century Britain has been conclusively proved to stem from a historical novel. That would be the end of the Read the rest

Past-Life Therapy, Astrology, and Quantum Physics: Case Studies – Dianne Seaman (Is.20)

by Dianne Seaman

Astrology is a tool closely related to physics, for it is a language of energy and cyclical time. This symbolic and mathematical tool–linking both left and right brain functions–explores the mind in a space/time configuration and provides a window into different states and phases of consciousness. Astrology can assist us in exploring various dimensions of the soul by revealing threads of energy/of consciousness linking aspects of an individual’s multiple layers of identity across many incarnations, which intertwine to form the so called present life. Astrology can show the resonance between certain lifetimes–why the particular themes and issues come to the forefront of consciousness at a particular time in a person’s developmental cycle. As such, it is both Read the rest

Core Beliefs: Uncovering the Archaic and Past Lives Behind Them – Elaine Childs-Gowell (Is.20)

by Elaine Childs-Gowell, M.N., M.P.H., A.R.N.P., Ph.D., C.T.A.

This paper describes the “Healing Rituals” known as the Self Care Contracts. These contracts serve to close the escape hatches (Holloway, 1973, Boyd and Boyd, 1980) which people use to further their core beliefs and script behaviors. The article defines Escape Hatches, and Self Care Contracts and describes how the process of “Accountability Work”, “The Think Chair”, or “Time Out” help therapy clients think through their core beliefs and how to challenge them therapeutically. For people whose socialization was inadequate or meager, the process assists clients to think about feelings, feel about thoughts, and order their thought processes around their limiting belief systems. It is an empowering intervention for thought disordered, Read the rest
